Ahoy There… So here is the latest Smugglers Inn Podcast which is jammed full of new music including the latest Frank Booker track, new Fulgeance forthcoming on One Handed Music, more ace exclusive disco house from DJ Leandre, hot new techno from Benjamin Semtek and best of all an amazing guestmix from Ulysses 82.
Ulysses 82 are a shadowy production duo from London who have pretty much vowed not to release any of their many hot edits as a show of respect to the original artists. They have got an extremely fresh party-boogie sound and their tracks are crafted with much care and attention – no lazily looped intros here thank you very much. I am SO pleased to have a guestmix from these guys. The concept behind the mix is early 80′s Cleveland being hit by an unprecedented heatwave which is a pretty accurate metaphor for the intense heat contained within their mix. I invited U82 to play at my Smugglers Inn night in London earlier on this year and they ripped the roof off the Vibe Bar with an amazing set and I am pleased to say that some of the tracks have made it onto this mix.
