So who’s done all their Christmas shopping then? I have just finished mine today thank god so that bit of stress is over for this year.. It was nice to get home today after an afternoon of slightly worried shopping. This is the second last show of the year and it’s going to be the last standard format show of the 2009. For the final radio show (broadcast on the 23rd of Dec), I will be delving deep into my amazing filing system (a folder for each month of the year) and pulling out the tracks which I feel have stood out amongst the bumper crop of good tunes this year. It’s going to be a kind of ‘Best of 2009′ – but it’s by no means going to be a definitive list – it’s going to be more about what tracks work together and how I feel on the night.

So 2009 is nearly over… I am kind of sad in a way as it’s been the best year of my life in many ways. It’s one year I am defo not in a hurry to see the back of. Massive thanks to anyone who’s listened to the show, bought one of my records, sent me music or come to see me play somewhere. I can’t wait for 2010 though as well. Hopefully it’s going to be an even better year for everyone.

The new podcast has got plenty of new stuff – I am really loving the new Mike Slott release – really euphoric stuff. There’s also plenty of new house from the likes of Native Sound, Christo and the Soul Renegades. There’s also a really nice updated version of one of my all time faves ‘Alone’ by Don Carlos which has been tastefully recreated by Social Disco Club and Rui Maia. Plus brand new future garage from Geiom and Dawntreader and much much more..
