Bit of a mad one this – Gilles Peterson has been very supportive of my remix of Stand On The Word by The Joubert Singers (soundclips here – http://www.myspace.com/redrackem) – he played it on his Worldwide show a couple of weeks ago and by all accounts he’s been playing it in all his recent club sets too. Zane Lowe had him on his show as a guest last Thursday in a Gilles Vs Zane Hottest Records Section – they had different sections like Old School Classic and Best Track To Get It On To. Anyway in the last section – Ultimate Crowd Pleaser – Gilles played my Joubert remix and Zane played Black Gold Of The Sun by Nuyorican Soul. Wow!
