I am going to start playing darn sarf a bit more this year – so from tonight, I will be playing once a month at Vibe Bar in deepest darkest Shoreditch on the second friday of every month.
I will be joined each month by one or more DJs from a different scene who will help me join the dots between hip-hop, disco, cosmic, electro, punk funk, proper house, broken beat, jazz, funk and wonky beats.
Tonight, my partner in crime will be the one and only Ben Bleet from RealDealPartyFeel who has got incredibly diverse taste in music so expect to hear all sorts of quality shizzle.. Over the years Ben has played at clubs including Home, 333 and Happiness Stans. It’s the spirit of Happiness Stans that Ben carries in his record box whenever he plays. It’s play whatever you like, just make it sure it’s good, funky, interesting and it can be old or new.
