Arrrrr…..The Smugglers Inn returns from London once more for a skirmish with Andy Blake, the man behind Dissident Records…

We will be playing records @ Vibe Bar, Old Trueman Brewery, Brick Lane, Shoreditch in London, on Friday 17th April from 8pm until 1am.

Expect to hear the finest hip-hop, disco, cosmic, elctro, punk funk, proper house, broken beat, jazz, funk and wonky beats.

Andy Blake – Dissident

Andy Blake is the man behind the uber cool London based electro/italo/disco/techno label Dissident and has a legendary collection of out there disco, electro, italo, cosmic and afro tinged records. Andy is a highly skilled DJ and he’s played at many top notch events including Horse Meat Disco, Futureboogie, Disco Bloodbath, Fabric, Matter, Big Chill and Bestival.

Dissident have released a very large amount of records in a very short space of time by some pretty highly regarded artists such as Ali Renault (Heartbreak), Off Key Hat, Gatto Fritto, Cage and Avery and many more. The label has shunned any promotional tactics as they want people to ‘engage rather than consume’.

Dissident have just been awarded label of the month on Resident Advisor…
